Change The World Kids

                                           

The daughter of an Ibex staff member recently traveled with Change The World Kids down to Costa Rica "to continue to reforest a migratory corridor that is this winter feeding ground of birds from the Northeast and other parts of the United States, as well as essential habitat for indigenous rain forest species. After piloting Phase 2 of our Bosque para Siempre project last year, we launched the initiative this spring. Our mission is to improve the summer breeding habitat of migrating songbirds. Our partners in this work include US Fish & Wildlife, Audubon, and local conservations organizations." (via Change The Word Kids)

Of course we had to send her with some Ibex to test out the qualities of ibex in the steamy jungles Costa Rica. Good news- the wool worked great! Better yet they finished planting trees and establishing new areas for migratory birds to rest up on their way back to the old North East. 

 

There's a new king in town

  Bentley, 8 week old golden retriever pup has dethroned Archer as the office puppy who is stealing everyone hearts. Bentley's mom is our staff accountant Danielle, she has all the glow of a new puppy mom, you know the sleepless nights and pee on the floor but so in love is doesn't matter look.

To be fair Archer is still adorable, he just weighs upwards of 80lbs now, not quite as cuddly...

For anyone who's counting this brings the tally to 25 Ibex people, 18 Ibex dogs...luckily for productivity, they are not all here in the office.

The 1st annual Ibex Mustache Contest is under full swing. With some apprehension and some over excitement at the start of the month, all the guys at Ibex have begun to grow some facial hair. We even were able to get two of our fabric producers in New Zealand to participate.

Feeling Minnesota

Out in Minnesota visiting some of our retailers. It is pretty busy in the Twin Cities with the RNC in town, but I have managed to stay away from the fray. Yesterday I popped in to see how Trailmark (Edina- Galleria Mall) and Birch Clothing (Minneapolis -2309 W. 50th) are doing. Both shops are now getting their first Ibex shipments in for the Fall. Pay them a visit and see the new goods if your in town.

Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2008

Ibex has descended on Outdoor Retailer's Summer Market in Salt Lake City, UT. After several days of set up, we're ready for the doors to open today!

We'll be showing our Spring 2009 line which features great new merino wool and organic cotton pieces for both men & women, as well as all new tops added to our cycling line.  Very exciting stuff!
